Ryan Caldwell Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 2, 2025.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ryan Scott Caldwell, who left this world on February 27, 2025, at his home in Pflugerville, Texas at the age of 40 years old. Ryan was born on April 12, 1984, in Walnut Creek, California. Ryan is survived by his loving parents, Richard and Veronica Caldwell and his brother Justin Caldwell.

Ryan will be missed by his cherished children Aubrey Elise Sena, Talon Scott Caldwell (Mother Taryn Caldwell), Collin Ryan Caldwell (Mother Liz Taylor), Ryder Scott Caldwell, Logan Lee Caldwell, and Emma Lynn Caldwell (Mother Luci Hummel) and his grandson Tru Lee Sena.

Ryan is also survived by his Grandparents, David and Marguerite McMillan and Grandmother Carey Gomes and numerous Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.

Ryan is preceded in death by his Grandparents, Richard and Judy Caldwell, his Grandfather Walter Thompson, Aunt Alane Dey, and his cousins Steven Caldwell, Stephen Richardson, and Victoria Dow.

Ryan was a proud graduate of Cedar Park High School. He joined the US Army in 2005 and served honorably until 2012. During his time in the United States Army, Ryan was stationed at Ft Myer, VA where he served in the "Old Guard" to honor fallen soldiers. He also served at Ft Campbell, KY and was deployed to Afghanistan. Ryan was awarded the following during his time of service: Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, Army Achievement Medal, Nato Medal, Valorous Unit Award, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. Most recently, Ryan worked as a Manager for Ecosystems Landscape Services where he poured his heart into creating beautiful green spaces for others to enjoy.

Ryan's dedication to his work was matched only by his passion for cars and enjoying life. His infectious smile and warm personality made him a beloved figure to all who knew him. In his free time, Ryan enjoyed spending time outdoors, camping, fishing, tinkering with cars and watching his favorite movie "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory", (the original version). He was an avid sports fan, always cheering on his Cowboys with enthusiasm. His laughter and playful spirit brought joy to every gathering he attended.

The loss of Ryan leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him. A service to honor and celebrate Ryan's life will be held at Ft. Sam Houston, San Antonio, TX on June 3, 2025, at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a charity of your choice in Ryan's memory.

Ryan will be deeply missed but will live on in the memories and hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing him. Rest in peace, Ryan Scott Caldwell, you have left a legacy of love and kindness that will never be forgotten.

Rest in peace, my friend. How was the training instructor and taught you how to drive MCI buses when you were stationed at Fort Myers for TOG. You were funny you kept everybody laughing. I´m going to look and I think there may be a video that was posted on YouTube many years ago and if I find it, I will come back here and post it.

Dad as your oldest daughter I´d like to say thank you for being in my life. You have shown me so much about cars and racing. You have given me one of the best taste in music ever. None of this feels real. I love you Dad and I wish I said it more often than I did. I now see you in me more than ever. I see you in my personality, my facial expressions and so much more. I also see you in your beautiful grandson. He´s so much like you when it comes to his "cool cars". Now I´m going to have to teach this little man what a cool car really means and what they are thanks to the talent you have given me. You will live on forever in me, my siblings, and now my son. I love you so much and I will forever miss you.
