I am so saddened to hear of Ryan’s passing. I was privileged to be his Hebrew school teacher when he was a child. He was always so creative and full of interesting ideas. He was a delight to talk to, and clever!

He will be sorely missed.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Ryan's family in their time of grief. I didn't know Ryan long, but in the short time I did know him i found him to be a very caring person, especially when it came to family and friends. Now he's in God's hands.

Another babysitter here.....I am heartbroken. Ryan *was* a handful at 3, but he was also, even as a toddler, so clever, creative and imaginative. A challenge, but mostly a joy.

He and Ronnie had two jennifer babysitters back them so to differentiate I was "jennycook." They also didn't have their pronouns down yet so everything was "does jennycook want juicy juice?" "no, jennycook, yum-yum *likes* to have his tail pulled!" etc.

My high school friends thought this was cute and started calling me "jennycook", and when they met my college friends, they did it to, and so on when college friends met post-college freinds....

When every anyone says my name all one word like that, it warms my heart because I think back to being 17, hanging out with ronnie and ryan and yum-yum in the backyard.

Remembering Ryan as a little boy will always make me smile. My deepest sympathy to Rich, Rickie, Ilena, Ronnie and all the people who loved this very special person.

Be at peace, dear one.

We hold fast to joyful memories of you as a young boy. You brought light into the lives of our friends, Rickie and Rich, and our own lives are richer for having been your friends.

I knew Ryan for a short time, and our paths never crossed again

Now he flies in heaven, his pain never felt again

Walking aside our Jesus, his hand cradled in the Lord's

With the angels singing, all in one accord!

"Don't cry for me, I am with my father, not a care in my mind

Forever singing praises to He, He who's gentle and kind!"

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

Ryan was a great friend of mine and it was indeed a pleasure to have met him...I miss talking to him...I haven't in such a long time, and now I know I will never be able to see him again... I wish I could have helped him and actually gotten a chance to see him again. I am very sorry for your loss, and I hope that he is still singing in death.
