Ryan Hoshaw Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 11, 2024.
Ryan Patrick Hoshaw, 29, died peacefully at his home in Trenton, Mich., on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024.

Ryan, who endured cancer for several years while simultaneously doing everything he possibly could to live his life to the fullest, was surrounded by his wife, Carly, his parents, Mary and Joe; and his brother, Eric, at the time of his passing.

Born Nov. 2, 1994, in Wyandotte, Mich., Ryan graduated from Trenton High School in 2012. He continued his education at Central Michigan University, where he received his bachelor's degree in 2016 with a major in integrative public relations and a minor in psychology.

He was employed in the marketing division of Plante Moran in Southfield when his life plan was altered by cancer.

Along with his immediate family members mentioned previously, Ryan is also survived by his brother-in-law Scot Brand; his in-laws Dave and Mary Laginess; his grandfather Joseph Hoshaw Sr., and numerous aunts and uncles and cousins.

In accordance with Ryan's wishes, the family is forgoing a funeral in favor of a private celebration of life for close family and friends to be held later this fall.

In lieu of flowers or other gifts, the family is requesting donations to a GoFundMe page set up to help Carly deal with the financial impact of Ryan's illness. Anyone who is able to help out can visit https://gofund.me/9c91c50a to donate, as well as share Ryan's story with others.
