We realize that we are very late to express our deepest condolences, but we wanted to let your family and friends know that we will be sending Care Packages to deployed troops this month and several of these will be dedicated to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo and hometown of Ryan H. Lane US Marine Sergeant.

I'm a retired Air Force MSgt from New Hampshire. I didn't know Ryan or his family. I read "Honor the Fallen" at militarycity.com nearly every day, I guess it's my way of saying thank you to these young brave men and women. I hope you don't mind me adding this note to say that losses like Ryan, and others like him, don't go unnoticed elsewhere, regardless of the distance. May God bless and keep you all in this difficult time.

I grew up in the neighborhood, and lived next to your grandparents. I did not have the honor of meeting Ryan, but my mom did, and she was the one to tell me of his passing. She and I want to extend our sympathy to you and your entire family. Ryan must have been a great man, to offer his service to keep me and my family safe. He is truly a hero, adn should be remembered as such.

How do you deal with the death of a child? Especially one who is fighting for our country so we can live our life and be safe and live out our dreams. Its not fair. He had dreams. Im sure.
