I know today is not a good day, just to let you know Judy, that i'm thinking of you today and your family

It was a privilege to have known Ryan.

To Ryan's family-

I had known Ryan for the past 7 years, and though we didn't often find the time to get together, we would talk online almost daily. He was like a big brother to me, always listening to my troubles, making me laugh when I needed it, and giving me honest advice.

I know your loss is great, and no words can make it easier... but I wanted to tell you how much he was appreciated, and how much he will be missed.

To Bill, Judy and your families,
It was with sadness that we read of Ryan's death. We first became aware of Ryan's struggles last year after talking with Benita but didn't fully appreciate the severity of his struggle. Our thought will be with you in the months to come.

It's about 20 years since I last saw your boys so I can't recall which one was Ryan. However, it doesn't really matter because I was very impressed by all 3 of them. You have good reason to be proud of them all.
It was from your emails, and in mailing and talking to Mink, that I was able to learn about Ryan and what an all-round good guy he was. Having "walked in your shoes" I share your pain--I know you will be stronger for it. God Bless.

I've had the pleasure of knowing and working with Ryan for the last few years. He introduced me to Rails and Agile development, planned BarCamp and DemoCamp events together, we worked on some web applications and shared some good times and hockey games. I will truly mis Ryan, his friendship, generosity, patience and humour.
