As I sit here on this beautiful fall day Ryan would have loved, I reflect on my memories and write my goodbye. There are ties that bind, we were family. Part of each other's lives for 20 years. I really cannot believe he is gone.

I remember our first meeting and not allowing my daughter to date an older man, not realizing or believing he was in 10th grade. Such a handsome man.

So many everyday memories, and special ones that stand out. Being there to share the birth of Michael and Bella and seeing his tears of joy, he was so proud! Trips to San Diego and Daytona full of adventure, laughs, and getting lost. Weekends up north, hanging at the Greenfield house, Guitar Hero, his attempts to teach me disc golf, sliding on his homemade snow “luge”, swimming lessons with the kids, his love of Halloween, his new breadmaker (so excited to share simple things. His love of animals and nature, and all things outdoors.

I especially cherish our heart-to-heart talks about life, religion, respect and acceptance. I remember a young man who lived life to the fullest and knew how to have fun. Who would help those in need. He had rough patches, as everyone does, and overcame that. A loving involved father, hardworking guy, and creative. His death is something I never imagined and will never understand.

Ryan's smile will be forever imprinted in my mind and on my heart! Much love and as a family we will care for your children. We see you in them and honor your memory with them.

Rest in peace my friend,

Cheryl Vinge

I've always considered Sandi, Ryan, Nicholas and Sabrina Mastracchio as my second family. We've shared birthdays, holidays, celebrations and memories over the last 12 plus years.

I really got to know Ryan about ten years ago when I moved in with him and Nicholas. Ryan and Nicholas are the prime definition of brothers through and through. They could argue, fight, make up and be playing a video game all in a matter of an hour. No matter what, they always had each others back and shared a bond that only two brothers could have. I am so grateful to have been a part and witness of it.

Ryan you always, always greeted me with a big smile and a "Hi Jamie!!!!!" You treated me like a little sister and I always looked up to you. You were such an amazing father and person. You will be greatly missed, love you and may you rest in peace.

I first met Ryan at a backyard boxing match in high school. I quickly learned that although imposing in stature, he was more the gentle giant type, not a fighter. His heart was much bigger than his hands. You've got to admit, those were some big hands. There were times when years would pass between our meetings, but each time we got together he remained my friend. Ryan and I shared a love for our lord and savior Jesus Christ. That is my only comfort in this loss… I will miss him

August 26, 2013

Hi Dad, How are you doing up there? Did you go bowling yet? Do you have a TV up there? Can you get anything you want up there? I see your signs that you are making. The first one I saw was the sparkling moon in the trees and then saw it again. And in the trees I saw the ghost that was funny like a pumpkin. And I saw a smiley face twice. And I thought I saw you as an angel coming up to my window. Then I saw the sun go up, the sun go down, and then back up again and went really high! I love you, good bye, I will write you another note and I love you again. I know there is going to be more signs in my life from you. I miss you again, I love you, good bye. Love, Michael

From the golf course, to the football field, to the softball field to fishing on the boat, dang we did a lot of things in the short time together. I admired the way you carried yourself and the deeds you wanted no credit for. The way you taught your children and how you made time for everyone. You carried me off the field when I tore my achilles and I am honored to carry you to your final resting place. Dance with the angels my friend, my heart is broken.

I have many fond memories of you, Ryan. You have been such a great friend to my Ryan. He looked up to you so much, and you were the only person who he could talk for hours on the phone to. You were always right there when someone needed help with something. You came right over when my Ryan needed help cutting a tree down just last month. You meant so much to our whole family and always will. I'll also never forget the great dad you were and always will be to Michael and Bella and then your new sweet baby. You will be in our hearts forever.

There are no words to say how much I will miss you and how much your children will miss you. You will ALWAYS be with us and will remain in our hearts forever. We see you in everything, keep those signs coming. The kids love being able to 'see' you and talk to you and they know you are with them. Peace to one of the best friends and fathers I ever known.

I will keep all the memories I have of you so close to my heart, Ryan. Thank you for being like a brother to me for all those years. You were an incredible father to Michael and Bella and it is the greatest tragedy that baby Dominic lost you so soon.

My heart goes out to Bobbi, the kids, his family, my sister and his countless amazing friends.

I love you and hope you're throwing aces on that big disc golf course in the sky.

Biggest Brother, you were always my protector. From day one even when Nicholas would pick on me when we were kids you were there in an instant to put him in his place. That feeling of knowing you were always there to protect me never went away. You were the most amazing parent I have ever seen, I looked up to you in so many ways. Aidriana is convinced her Uncle Ryan has some kind of super powers because of how many times you can throw her up in the air. Since I was little I've always been so proud to say who my big brothers were, I wouldn't be who I am today without you. I'm going to miss your gentle giant laugh & your ability to fix anything from one of the kids bikes to anything that needed fixing at Moms house. I know you will keep protecting me from heaven. I love you & miss you more than I can express.
