Ryan O'Neal was a great actor. My parents and l looked at Ryan in Peyton Place. I looked at him in the movie Love Story Oliver's Story and many more. He was awesome. Mr. Ryan O'Neal was a compassionate concerned patient and he had time for everyone. Ryan O'Neal was a genuine actor. With deepest condolences sympathy to Ryan O'Neal' s family. I was so shocked

I would like to extend my sincere condolences to the family of Ryan O'Neal. He was an excellent actor on screen and television. When Peyton Place first appeared on television as a night time drama, it was new, exciting and laid the foundation for future night time soap opera. Who could ever forget "Love Story"? The chemistry and true talent was displayed between Ryan and Ali McGraw made the audience believe in true love. He was a Husband, a father and no doubt a good friend to all who knew him personally and professionally. So there is no doubt that he will be missed.
May the family of Ryan O'Neal keep treasured memories of him in your heart and may you find comfort in knowing that those who have passed on in death God's keeps in his memory because all are precious in his eyes. (Psalm 116:15).

Peyton Place is where I first saw Mr. O´Neal. Love Story and Oliver´s Story. Paper Moon with daughter Tatum. The documentary about beautiful Farrah Faucet.

Ryan was one of the best looking men of his era. I just loved him in Love Story. I still cry when I watch it. He was so talented. All the actors of my generation are passing, and it makes me so sad. Prayers for Ryan and all his loved ones. He will be missed.

My condolences to Mr.ONeals family and friends. As much as I enjoyed his acting what I really remember is how he stood by Farrah when she was battling her cancer. From late 1973 through summer 1974 I rented a home in Bray, County Wicklow, Ireland, while researching and writing my Northwestern PhD dissertation. Stanly Kubrick's 1975 film BARRY LYNDON, starring Ryan O'Neal, was shooting at Ardmore Studios and I lived in Ardmore Park. Mr. O'Neal was driven past my home every morning on his way to the studio. Aware of this fact I ensconced myself in the front garden nearly every day, puttered around my rose bushes and doffed my Irish cap to the actor and affected the raised 2 finger waive (then quintessentially ethnic) to him and smiled. After nearly a month of this pantomime, nearly at the end of shooting, he had his driver stop his Mercedes and got out to thank me for my traditional Irish welcome which, he had grown to look forward to, he said. Hearing my Chicago area accent and explanation for my residence in Ireland, he found my little conceit quite humorous. But clearly he had the last laugh, when he said "Had you stopped may car and waived me over a few weeks ago, I could have easily given you an extra-roll in the picture, maybe even an under-five". Damn. I would have loved to appear in BARRY LYNDON, my favorite Ryan O'Neal film! RIP to a wonderful actor.
