Dear Vicky & Harvey, I cannot tell you how sorry we were to learn of Ryan's passing. Life's passings are made even more difficult when parents lose one of their children, at any age. We will pray for you and your family. A spiritual bouquet will be on the way.

Our deepest sympathy goes out to Ryan's family. Though our time with Ryan was limited to his high school years at Bishop LeBlond, he most certainly was a memorable, inspirational and admirable young man that was on his way to being a special, kind, and wonderful adult. It was an honor to coach and teach such a fine athlete and student. In 30+ years of education Ryan is easily one of the very best athlete, student, and young person that I have had the privilege to know. He was always willing to do the hard work (both physically and emotionally). He was popular with his teammates and class mates because he was such a positive person, a caring individual, and joy to be around. And Ryan had such a great sense of humor that made it so much fun to be around him. Though he was an intense competitor, he always maintained a balance between athletics and the things that were truly important in life. It was obvious from those early years that Ryan was going to achieve so much in life. Reading through the other guestbook posts shows that his character, faith, capacity to give and excel and to love was part of the core fiber that he lived by and wove through everyone's life that he touched for the very, very short time that we were blessed to have had him in this lifetime. The world is a lesser place now without his physical presence, however we can all take solace in the immeasurable lasting impact he made in the short time Ryan was here.

I was fortunate to coach Ryan at Bishop LeBlond. In my 41 years of coaching I would say that Ryan was one of the most competitive athletes I had the HONOR to coach! He was the kind of person that made others around him better, both on and off the court. You were an inspiration to others. I love you, man! Ryan you will be missed, but I will never forget YOU! My prayers and condolences to Ryan's family. I was chaplain at LB when Ryan was a student. I remember Ryan as a fun, energetic, and likable student, respectful and a person of integrity. I pray that Ryan now enjoys the peace of God's Kingdom where there is no illness or suffering and for his family to know of God's comfort and consolation during these difficult days now and in the days to come.

Ryan and our oldest grandson, Brian, played basketball together from St. Francis grade school into LeBlond, baseball at LeBlond. Even at a young age, Ryan impressed us with his leadership skills, his positive outlook, his friendliness and his outstanding athletic abilities. Hewas a credit to his faith and to his family.
