Ryan John Sontag, 82, was born August 16th, 1942 in Valdez, Alaska, and passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones in Anchorage, Alaska on November 15th, 2024. He was a loving husband, brother, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, uncle, and friend to many.



He is survived by wife Susan Sontag of 54 years; Sister Jayne Sontag; Children Cheryle Fleming (Doug), Ryan Sontag, Brad Sontag, Melinda Sontag, Ted Sontag (Megan); Grandchildren Michael Fleming, Madison Alexie (Mason), Carlee Fleming, and Owen Allen; and Great-grandchild Andi Alexie. He was preceded in death by his Mother Wanda Sontag and Father Herman Sontag.

His Celebration of Life will be held at the Valdez Civic Center on Saturday, June 28th at 4pm, reception to follow.
