So very sorry to hear about your mom's passing, Jim. I was in Arlington Heights last week with my family and went to the Moorings to see if I could visit. The receptionist hesitantly told me the sad news. She was so good about texting me during the holidays, and occasionally we would catch up on the phone. I wish I hadn't waited so many years to return and see her again. The last time I saw her was the day I moved my dad to Florida in 2019. Sadly, he passed away in 2020. Your mom was such a comfort to me when I lost my mom. They were truly best friends, and I'm so grateful they had that for so many years. I like to imagine them back together in heaven, enjoying their close bond again. Losing a parent is like losing a part of yourself. I pray God's comfort over your heart.
