Sally was a second mom to me when I was growing up. BJ, is one of my closest lifelong friends & the McKays lived a few houses down the street from my family. After school BJ & I liked to practice the respective foreign languages we were learning in Jr Hi & Sally happily listened to us prattle on in French & German. She played right along and seemed to enjoy our little discussions.
I spent several summers with their family on "the farm" when Sally´s parents would go on vacation or attend fly-ins. BJ and I gathered the eggs from the chicken coop & on Fridays we took turns accompanying Sally on the egg route. I loved my Fridays with Sally. She made me feel like one of her own. I was so happy that I got to have lunch with her & BJ in December 2023. I am blessed to have had her in my life. Sending love to her family

Sally loved going places, and she continued traveling in her 90´s. Favorite places included Vancouver and Victoria, B.C., Disneyland, Maui, the Oregon Coast, and Reno. Most of all, she enjoyed being with family and in nature.
