Sally Everhart Miller

Sally Lou Everhart Miller, age 90, of Rolesville, NC, passed away October 26, 2024. Born April 10, 1934 in Lexington, NC, devoted daughter of loving parents Vernie Vestal "Doc" and Lena Stafford Everhart. After graduating from Meridith College with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Class of 1956, she enjoyed her first job as a dietician in Morganton, NC.

During her time at Meredith College, she met and later married her husband, T.G. Miller, Jr., a recent NCSU graduate, on December 21, 1957. They settled in Raleigh, NC and raised five children. Sally stayed busy gardening, attending church, picnics at Pullen and Umstead Park with homemade Birthday cakes and mastering daily N&O crossword puzzles. Retiring to Rolesville, NC, Sally enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, reading mysteries, and her beloved dogs. She was a cherished daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend whose presence is deeply missed. Perhaps the most importand thing about Sally is she loved and trusted Jesus Christ with her life and sought guidance from him. Sally was preceded in death by her husband T.G. Miller, Jr. on December 8, 2021, and is survived by her children Chip (Karen) Miller, Greg (Kim) Miller, Phillip (Nancy) Miller, Teresa Miller, Patricia Miller Hatfield, and grandchildren Justin and Jonathan Wall, Nicole Sassin, Parker Miller, Daniel and Benjamin Miller, and great grandchildren Lena and Kiren.
