"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." - Philippians 4:13

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sally Dianne Springstead, a dearly loved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, entered into eternal rest in her home in Salem, Oregon at age 82, on November 8, 2024.

Sally was born on July 12, 1942, in Quincy, Massachusetts, to Eliza Marie Dority and Ellsworth Austin Rendall. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Marie Migner, at the age of 101 in DeLand, Florida, in 2020, and her brother, John Channing Migner, age 74, in 2022 in Maine.

She is survived, loved and remembered by her brother, Peter Migner of Deland, Florida; her four daughters: Leslie Breneman (John), Satya Danielle Glaser of Fort Collins, Colorado; Nichole Glaser of Cortez, Colorado; and Elise McGiverin (David) of Waxhaw, North Carolina. Sally's cherished grandchildren include: Elliot Glaser-Flynn, Luca Glaser-Flynn,Tenar Flynn, Moriah Perkins, Alex Perkins, Olivia McGiverin, Kendall McGiverin, Chloe McGiverin, Jack Idzal, Reya Glaser and Kellen Glaser.

Sally is also held close in the hearts of many others whose lives she touched with grace.

Sally served honorably in the United States Air Force and lived a life marked by integrity. She also served as a flight attendant with TWA, traveling internationally across the continents of the world before eventually settling on the West Coast of California; and then Oregon where she devoted herself to motherhood and homemaking, and raised her daughters with great affection.

Sally embodied kindness, strength, grace; and possessed incredible beauty. As a young woman, these attributes won her top prizes in beauty pageants. She carried a lifelong love for bright colors, decorative scarves and jewelry, and expressive fashion. Throughout the entirety of her life, all who met and knew her were blessed by an even more astounding beauty- the Christlike love and generosity that radiated from her heart and shined through her glowing, broad smile. A natural connector, Sally made friends wherever she went and was always ready to offer a helping hand to those in need. She offered abundant love and genuine kindness to everyone she encountered. Compassion, encouragement, and remarkable strength were extended freely to family, friends, and strangers alike.

During her years as a mother and spouse, she developed a deep trust in the Lord. A scripture she revisited often was, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path." - Proverbs 3:5-6. Her home was filled with music and faith. She frequently lifted her voice in sincere song while tending to household tasks. Heartful lyrics often sung, were "You alone are my strength, my shield. To You alone does my spirit yield. You alone are my heart's desire and I long to worship You."

Sally was faithful. She was generous. She lived and loved deeply. Her enduring love will live within the tender memories of shared worship, sincere prayer, spoken scripture, and affectionate love. Her memory will be cherished through the many hearts she touched.

When I first moved to Salem I stayed with Sally and emotionally I wasn´t doing well. Sally took me in her home. She wrapped her arms around me as I cried, telling me that it would work out (my living situation). Sally had so much love in her heart for everyone! Great sense of humor too! I love Sally so much and the peace I have is one day I will reunite with her in heaven! Blessings and much love to Sally´s family!

Love you, mom. So glad I got to spend your last full day with you and my Mo. You were so happy and hopeful for the future. It´s hard to fathom that you´re gone.
