Sally Wildner Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 18, 2025.
Rochester Hills - Sally Dorothea Wildner, 90, of Rochester Hills, Michigan, unexpectedly passed away at her residence on Monday, September 15, 2025.

Born on July 5, 1935, in Detroit to Gerald and Dorothea Parker, Sally was embraced and lovingly raised from infancy by her father and Lorraine (Miesler) Parker, following the loss of her mother at birth. After graduating from Berkley High School; she married her beloved husband, Bill of 71 years. Together they had 4 children.

Sally lived a full and dynamic life. For ten years, her and Bill raised their family on a farm in Attica, Michigan. During that time, they started the company Attica Hydraulic Exchange and, through hard work and vision, helped shape it into a nationally recognized business. An advocate for positive change, Sally believed in constructively voicing her opinions and wrote many letters on causes she cared deeply about.Years later they retired to the Troy area and spent their winters at their home in Naples Florida.

Family was always at the center of Sally's heart. She was an organizer of unforgettable family adventures-whether camping at the Pinery, cruising to the Bahamas, or celebrating milestones abroad. She and Bill traveled the world as members of the Nomads Travel Club, always eager to explore new places. Sally was known for her love of life and people. She was often the last to leave a party and hosted many of her own. As a proud grandma and 'Gigi,' she delighted in cheering her grandkids and great grands on at every stage of life. She faced her many health challenges with resilience, determination, and a steadfast positive outlook.

Faith was a cornerstone of her life. Confirmed in the Lutheran Church as a young girl, she remained a devoted member throughout her life, and most recently was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Naples, Florida, and SALT Church in Troy, Michigan.

Sally will be remembered as a woman of generosity, courage, and deep love. She gave freely of her blessings to family, friends, and charitable causes, touching countless lives with her kindness.

She is survived by her husband, William "Bill"; children Lorraine "Lori" Jager, Randolph "Randy" (Myra), William "Bill" (Colleen), and Jill (Jerry) Cavellier; brothers Tom and Tim Parker; grandchildren Myranda (Travis) Watson, Ashley (Chad) Halsted, Jordan Jager, Morgan (Robert) Gardner, Randolph "Randy" Wildner Jr., William Aaron (Amanda) Wildner, Alex (Kaytee) Wildner, Lou, Max, and Sally Ella Cavellier; and great-grandchildren Parker and Marietta Watson, Celina Gardner, Jackson, Emma, and Ava Halsted, Delaney, William and Charlotte Wildner, Elias and Samuel Wildner. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who she dearly loved.

She was preceded in death by her mother Dorothea, parents Gerald and Lorraine, parents-in-law Randolph and Elizabeth Wildner, son-in-law Randy "Red" Jager, great-grandchildren Harper and Aubrey Wildner, and several beloved sisters-in-law and a dear nephew.

In keeping with her generous spirit, Sally donated her body to Wayne State University School of Medicine for the advancement of medical education. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Memorial gifts in her memory may be made to Bellbrook Memory Care. The family wishes to express its deepest appreciation to Cindy Rocco, Lisa Ellout, and the dedicated staff of Bellbrook Trinity Health for their compassionate care of Sally.

Sally Wildner was like a grandmother to me. The first day I met her is when Pop´s(William Wildner), was signed up with hospice and I was so lucky my number was called to take care of him as a hospice aide. She was sitting outside the bathroom sizing me up, and she approved. The more I spent with them, the more I loved them. And their family I adored too. Such a nice looking bunch. What I admired the most about Sally, she was classy, strong and didn´t take no crao from no one. And I knew she loved me too.

My sincere condolences extended to Sally´s family. We were supposed to meet tomorrow the 19th! She was a vibrant engaging woman who loved her family. She shared stories of her 90th birthday party and was so happy to be with her family to celebrate. I will miss our visits. Rest in peace Sally. You are in God´s grip.
