I was saddened to learn of his passing. Dr Certo is/was the reason why I became a physician. He was an inspiration to me in the way he managed his personal and professional life. My thoughts and prayers are with your entire blessed family.

Mrs. Certo and family it has been a long time since I have seen Dr. Certo, but he was loved by my family. He took care of the my family who are now all gone and I am the only living one. He has always had a special place in our hearts. My Mom and my sister always made sure you had a blanket and cookies made for each child that was born. My sister was Toni Korbe, my mom was Mrs. Calabrese and my brothers were the Lisantis and Fronteras. I am Josphine Borrelli. To you and your family my deepest sympathy. He was a fine gentleman and friend to us.

Dear Mrs. Certo and Family,

We were all so sad to hear of Dr. Certo's passing and will always remember him as a kind & humble man. I still remember sitting in your kitchen when I was about 5 while Dr. Certo put a 'butterfly stitch' on my head as a result of a minor fall-I was so scared and he was so kind. (And then I never left :)
We will keep you all in our prayers. Maybe Dr. Certo & our dad are getting reaquaintted in heaven.

Much Love,

The Loefflers

Only 2 days ago, my sister and I were remembering how, as teenagers, Dr. Certo pierced our ears in his office (as long as we had a note from our parents!)

What an amazing life...When Lori and I were in high school we were volunteers at St Francis and the first surgery I ever observed was in his OR. His humility and compassion made a lasting impression on me and shaped the way I relate to my own patients today. I am lucky to have known him.

May many happy memories of times spent together over the years help all of the family through this difficult period. So very sorry for your loss. Take Care!

My condolences to the Certo family. He was our family doctor way back in the day. His office actually was just a few doors down from where we lived. Even made calls to our home. My family liked Dr. Certo so very much. Even with the picture in the paper I remembered him in my mind.

I met Dr. Certo in 1967 when I was 13. He saved my life by removing my nearly-ruptured appendix, the scar of which I still bear. Dr. Certo continued to care for my father and mother as well over many years, as did his son Dr. Louis. He was approachable, like a GP rather than a skilled surgeon, and never seemed to be put off by questions on the fly.

The photo you chose is the way I have always thought of him over the years...

On behalf of the Armand Melodini Family of Hazelwood, I offer our deepest condolences on the loss of this fine man.

May all in the family find some comfort and hope from the Bible. PJJ.
