John Russell
I was Sal's first friend when he moved from East New York to Elmont in 1960. He moved across the street from me on Diamond Street. We became best friends and were inseparable. We were always together. We had many good times both growing up together and as grownups. We did many different things including our infamous cross country trip back in the early '70s. He was a special person that I will always miss and never forget. He was always there for me with open arms!
Rest in peace, my brother

I´m convinced that my work won best of show because Sal was a judge and loved what I had done. He had a huge impact on my career without knowing it. I miss those days and I miss the kind of advertising that only he could do.

I met Sal when he worked with Frank Gentile at Ketchum,McLeod & Grove. He then moved to Dix Hills, L.I. where we lived. So Happy to have known Sal, His beautiful wife, and son John when John was very young. He was very smart and talented. So sorry to hear about his passing and wish Pat, John and family our sincere condolences. God received another Angel. Love to All, Jean Gentile
