I will always have memories of the funny, warm Uncle Sal, the "Tom Jones look alike". So many things to look back on, being the Flower Girl in their wedding, going to Canada which was my first big trip without my parents, the Thanksgiving Day parade and how we were late getting back to Nana's. Time passes but these memories live with you forever. Look down on us Uncle Sal and keep us safe. We will miss you

To Sal,

I remember going to your mother's house "Angie Genutzzi" as my grandmother referred to her. I saw so many photos of you when I would go; your mother was so proud of you, and loved you so much. I'm pretty sure my grandmother was proud of you too.

Memories I have of you are pretty special ones to me. For instance, not knowing anything about a wedding and being out of control with your son, Little Joey, Grams called him- as flower girl and pillow boy, and you and my Poppy wrangling us up and keeping us inline and calm. Also, I'm really glad to have been able to see you recently thanks to Catherine and Nicky for everything they did for me and all the experiences they gave me.

What a good family you're part of Sal, and now you're with your family in heaven. We all love you still from down here and always will so rest well.

I have had the privilage of knowing all of you since I was 3 and your home was my second home. I feel privilaged to have grown up with you and Sal being such prominent figures in my life. To pick one amazing story of such a generous and funny man like Sal is difficult since I have hundreds. One of my fondest is when you guys took me to my first baseball game even though it was a Mets game. The sky's opened up and poured. I remember you and Sal buying us ponchos and covering us all up to keep us as dry as possible all the while you and Sal were just drenched. I will miss him terribly but his memory will live on.

I am happy to have shared in one of these memories with Sal and Alicia. Going to the Sheepshead theater and then to Jordan's Lobster house. Will always remember those trips to the city when Alicia and I worked for DECAS and Sal was there to pick us up. You will be missed.....Gina Ragozziino

There are so many memories of Uncle Sal, wonderful ones. But what truly stands out to me was how he treated Kaitlyn and Lia as his own granddaughters. Loving them in every way the same. When Kaitlyn was born he called me in the hospital and asked me How Big are her Lips? He had a wonderful sense of humor and then when he finally held her telling me how beautiful his little cookie girl was. Uncle Sal Thank you in so much for being a real father to Sal you are a huge part of the man he is today. Thank you for being a wonderful “Grandfather” to the girls. it pains my heart that Lia is very young and she won't remember you but Kaitlyn has promised to let her never forget. We will miss you deeply and will hold you and the memories forever. Saying goodbye to you is beyond painful and as I type this with tears running down my face I ask that you watch over all of us and keep us safe. We love you and until we meet again.
