To the Anello family: Please accept my sincerest sympathies on the passing of Sam. I was unable to attend the vigil and funeral services; thus, I wanted to assure you of my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Sam was a gentleman through and through - I played softball with and against him - a fierce competitor who loved the camaraderie and the fun of the game. His sister, Mary Abono and her family lived next to us on Montezuma Street and his parents living on Montezuma near Sixth Street. Saw them often. I was fortunate to grow-up in their midst and appreciate the importance of family.

Sam and the family are in my prayers.

Tony Aiello and sister, Rose Marie Bloom
