I worked with Sam as a student worker at the LSU Faculty Club. It was a pleasure meeting him. He was so proud of his brother. That year, Buddy actually headlined a show at LSU. Everyone respected Sam so much. Be blessed in Heaven.

I met sam around 2017-18. He went to Home Depot and bought a door for his family members house. At the time I was installing residential doors for Home Depot. When I arrived I talked him through what I was going to be doing and then we proceeded to talk while I installed the door. It came up that he was Buddy Guy´s family. He also gave me a Buddy Guy cd which I still listen to this day. I did not know about Sam´s passing until today, when I had a random remembrance of Sam. This happened while listening to Buddy jamming on my tv. Thanks for the talk Sam. You will be missed.

I worked with Sam at the Crock O Cheese in Baton Rouge. His joy and frankness along with his sense of humor made the job fun. He took my friends and I to see Buddy play and brought us backstage to meet him. Good memories. Later on I would talk to him at Sam's Club when worked the door there. It was fun catching up and talking over old time. My condolences to the family, you were blessed to have had him in your life and his bright spirit will always be around you all.

I had the pleasure of meeting Sam when he worked at the LSU Faculty Club and I at LSU Facility Services, and I worked on his steam press a lot, lol, and he always made sure I had a lunch before I left, he was a good hearted person. I always enjoyed our conversation. My condolences to his wife and family.

I worked with Sam at the LSU Faculty Club when I was a student. I was one of the only students working in the kitchen. I washed dishes and he used to give me good natured grief when he dropped pans in my newly cleaned sink. He was a kind man and I´ll always remember him fondly.

Marilyn and Family,
