Sam and I met early in my open heart surgery time in Missoula. I had been searching for a lawyer who could talk straight, solve problems on time, and charge me a fair price for his work. I clearly remember his handling a $125k case which required who of the parties of four would pay for it. After an hour of presentation, I was getting antsy with Sam's silence. Finally, he erupted, "We have heard everyone's position. My client is not paying a dime. Come on, Dan, let's go home!" I loved it
Our mutual love for fly fishing allowed us to travel to various placed together (Alaska, Alberta, etc.) He was a wonderful fisherman and a delight man with whom to travel.
God Bless him...'

To Elizabeth, I offer my condolences. I don´t remember your dad, but I spent time at your house during grade school where your mother taught us to sew. I made a beautiful (in my mind) pinafore skirt and developed a life long interest in sewing. I did not realize I was in the home of such a distinguished man.
