MELAND, Sam Peacefully, in his ninety-fourth year, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, May 8, 2018. Beloved husband of Anne Flamer for seventy years. Cherished father and father-in-law of Jerry and Sheba Meland, Sandi and David Cherun, Mark Meland and Amy Pinchuk, Carolyn Meland and Aaron Weinstock. Loving Zaidy of Josh Cherun and Danna Lieberman; Bram Cherun and fiancée Shannon Hamilton; Matthew, Rachel, Paul and Daniel Meland; Sydney, and Lauren Weinstock. Proud great-grandfather of Theo Cherun. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Bessie and the late Harry Hiet, Louis and Jennie Meland and the late Doris Meland, Manny and Chris Meland, the late Rosie and the late Bernie Laurie; and brother-in-law of Lily and the late Ben Flamer, the late Joe and the late Beatrice Flamer, the late Arthur and the late Sylvia Flamer. Sam will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, family and friends.
