I am so saddened to hear of Mr. Salerno's passing, and I wish I had heard sooner, as I hate that I didn't make it to the visitation. Rosemary, Laura, and John, I know first hand how this loss feels, and you all are in my prayers. I have so many fond memories of time spent at your house when I was a kid. Mr. Salerno was such a quiet, sweet man. I know he will be greatly missed by many. Love to you all, Jennifer (Fish)

Sam was a wonderful person when I knew him, many years ago. He was always respectful, but also a cut-up, with a wonderful sense of humor! There was no doubt, even years ago, that Sam would be a success in anything he decided to pursue. There is no doubt that Sam has touched and influenced everyone he has ever met! My deepest condolences to the family. -- heide

Our parents had five children of whom I am the eldest. Sam followed me by less than two full years. In my memory there has not been a day that he was not with me. It is difficult to realize that I will not have him with me in the future.
He was the smartest man I know, like his father before him, he had an amazing memory for detail. He gave sage advise to all of us who asked and he was almost always correct.
He was quietly generous and helpfull to any number of people who needed a hand up.
After a lengthly hospitalization, earler this year he moved me into his home and took care of me. He paid all my expenses because he did not want me to worry about anything but getting well.
I will miss him every day; he will be in my heart forever.
