Sam Sultana Obituary

SULTANA, Sam John - Passed away Aug. 9, 2005 surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 11, 1919 in San Francisco to the late Eugenia and Grezio Sultana. Sam was a US Army veteran, master mechanic, devoted husband, father and friend. His memory is cherished by his wife of 63 years, Albertina "Babe"; his sons, Samuel of El Sobrante and Gary and his wife, Sandra of Watsonville; his grandsons, Daniel of Hayward and Paul of Reno, Nevada. Sam was predeceased by his baby sister, Ann and is survived by his eldest sister, May; sisters and brothers-in-law, Evelyn and Frank Buhagiar and Antoinette and Don Strong of SF, George Pieczonka of Sonoma; his brother Joseph and sister-in-law Kay of Marin; sister-in-law Yola Ferralis of SF; and devoted nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Sam was a member of the St. Peter and Paul Holy Names Society and the San Francisco Italian Athletic Club. Services are to be announced. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or charity of one's choice.
