Samantha Marie Nuzzo

Samantha Marie Nuzzo, aged 27, peacefully passed away on June 9, 2024, in Oceanside, California. Born on November 22, 1996, in La Mesa, California, Samantha was a cherished individual who, despite the challenges of profound autism, enriched the lives of all who knew her.

Finding her voice through the delightful mimicry of SpongeBob and the recitation of VeggieTales episodes, Samantha shared her life without the need for conventional communication. A talented artist, her drawings of beloved characters were a testament to her skill and a source of joy. Her musical talent shone brightly through her piano performances, notably the much-loved Charlie Brown theme, and her memory for birthdays was unparalleled.

Samantha attended Oceanside High School followed by her beloved Ditmar Adult Continuation School, and she spent her best days with Teri Inc. Her enjoyment of painting and passion for eating earmarked a future brimming with promise, with her eagerness to learn from the culinary school at the new campus of Teri Inc.

Her absence will leave an indelible void in their hearts and the hearts of many who were touched by her essence.

In accordance with the family's wishes, a private memorial will be observed on Saturday, July 6th, at noon.

The lessons of life that Samantha embodied were reflective of the values espoused in her favorite VeggieTales, and she lived by these phases; "God wants me to forgive them" and "Where's God when I'm scared" . The warmth of her presence and her remarkable resilience will forever be memorialized in the memories of those fortunate enough to have known her. She leaves behind a legacy of perseverance, unconditional love, and the power of a spirit unconstrained by limitation.
