ADAMO SAMUEL
Age 88, of Lovettsville, VA died June 6, 2007 at Inova Loudon Hospital in Leesburg, VA; born December 16, 1918 in Dayton, PA; he was the 5th child of the late Biagio & Giuseppa Puleio Adamo. He was preceded in death by his daughter Diane Lynn, and brothers Vito and Joseph, and his sisters Rose Adamo, Mary Hayes and Pauline Streppa. He is survived by his children William R. Adamo of Lexington Park, MD and Samuel Christopher Adamo of Lovettsville, VA; two grandchildren Emily Rose Adamo of University Park, MD and Brian R. Adamo of California, MD and his brother Leo and sisters Rose Dezort, Anna Marie Mauti and Angeline Calabrese. He was born and raised in Dayton, PA and moved to Pittsburgh where he spent the majority of his life. He worked at the Dravo Corp as a welder. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1943 and served in the Corps of Engineers during the war. After his discharge in 1946, he worked for Kutz Engineering in McKees Rocks. He then worked at Calig Steel Container as a foreman at both the Neville Island and McKees Rocks plants until his retirement. Friends received at the BAGNATO FUNERAL HOME, 50 Jefferson St., Carnegie Mon. 2-4, 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass in St. Ignatius Church of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish Tues. 10 am. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Diane Lynn Adamo Nursing Scholarship, the University of New Mexico Foundation, Two Woodward Center, 700 Lomas Blvd. N.E., Suite 108, Albuquerque, NM 87131.

Sam gave me alot of good advice and helped me out alot when we were neighbors.I have alot of very good memories of Sam. Thanks for every thing Sam.
