March 21, 1940 – April 19, 2016

Sam, age 76, of Mt. Olive said goodbye to his wife, Joyce Arnold and his children, Samuel E. Arnold, Jr., Holly A. Butler (Mark), David Dorough (Pam), and Samuel Robin Arnold (Belinda); his older sister, Peggy A. Dufek; his grandchildren, Robin Arnold and wife Caroline, Matthew Arnold, Sarah Arnold, Riley Arnold Brandon Butler and wife Melissa, Mallory Butler, Kevin Butler, Griffin Butler Josh Dorough and wife Melissa, Daniel Dorough, Jonathan Dorough, dozens of cousins, friends and co-workers. Sam was a loving husband and wonderful father. His presence will be sorely missed.

Services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Mount Olive on Saturday, April 23rd, 2016 with a visitation beginning at 9:30am; funeral service at 11:00am followed by his burial in Mount Olive Cemetery.

Arrangements under the direction of Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, Gardendale, AL.

I wish to extend my heartfelt condolences to Sammy's family. It has been many years since I visited Sammy. I have fond memories of him from my childhood and that will remain. Godspeed.

I did not personally ever meet Mr. Sam.. but knew alot about him from his son Rob. Rob was very proud of Mr. Sam and talked about him to me quite often. Rob asked me several months ago to add Sam to our prayer list. Today I am praying for. you, the Family. But rest assured by Sam's testimony that he is now at peace with NO More pain. May we be evermore thankful for the promise of Eternal Life with God because of the love for His Son Jesus. Beauland gained a new member today. PRAISE unto God.
