Sam was a great guy. I had the pleasure of knowing him by playing golf at Boone Creek. He was a great player. Most of the times that we played he was the senior member. That did not stop Sam from competing and beating most of us younger guys that could hit a ball 230 yards {but out of bounds}. He was a kind and quit person that taught me that it is not how hard you hit the ball but how well. Sam always stayed in the fairway consistently down the middle not veering left and right. We can all use a little of that in our lives.
God Bless Sam

Sam was a great dispatcher/scaleman.He always had some great stories about life and business. Many who hauled out of the McHenry West Pit called him a friend. He will be missed by many. We'll see you when we get there, brother. God Bless.
