I am so very sorry for the loss of this kind and compassionate young man. Sam was one of my son's, Corey's long time friend. They shared many things together, the good and the bad. I truly believe that Sam is free from the torment that he struggled with in this life, and he has gone on to enjoy true freedom through knowing Jesus as his Savior. I will see Sam again someday... can't wait.

Sam I love you and I am going to miss having you there any random thought and needed to call you for answers and I always value your opinion and i will never forget the deep descriptions of dreams, solutions, feelings, advice, etc. I will think about you throughout the years to come and keep you alive in me! I can't believe this happened. I love you bro!

I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers. I was touched by reading about Samuel's generosity towards those in need. It sounds like he led his life in a way that we all should all emulate.

Sam was a good friend, even at such a young age. He gave me my first Pokémon card, let me play as much Goldeneye as I wanted, and graciously befriended me, even though I was younger than him. I have always looked back on my times with Sam fondly, and know that he provided a solid example for me in being a loving son and brother, at an age when I needed examples like that. I will always be grateful for Sam, and for the friend he was to me. Mike, Wanda, Aaron, Emma - I will be constantly praying for the peace of God and knowledge of Sam's love for Him to cover you all, and fill your hearts during this difficult time. Thank you for all of the wonderful ways your family blessed me over the years, and please don't hesitate to get in touch if I can do the same in any way.

Dear Mike, Wanda, Aaron and Emma,

Our hearts are hurting with yours as you feel the loss of Samuel. Many memories of your friendship especially when we were neighbors. Memories of that smiling, curly blonde headed boy coming over for visits. A very sweet memory is one day when I had baked some rather large cookies. As he tried to pull himself high enough to see onto the counter, he said, "You would have to have two mouths to eat those!" He was always a bright spot in my day. Please know that the family at Faith Presbyterian will be praying for your whole family.

I am a mother too, and I can't imagine the pain you feel, but I also sense your pride in raising such a wonderful, caring young man.
