Samuel Richard Downey II

My heart goes out to the Downey family. I grew up with Catherine and Sam. I only knew Liz briefly but,I was always impressed by her kindness to me. I know he his now with our Heavenly Father. Reunited with Liz, Ann and Dick. Let God carry your heavy hearts. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I LOVE Richard like a brother and he cared for me as a sister. I grew up with him and have 19 years of many wonderful, fun-filled memories. Even as an adult Richard knew how to bring out them kid in me. He will be missed dearly.

I have many fond memories of Richard from when we were only carefree teenagers! He was one of the most caring, giving & loving people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He will be greatly missed by many!!

Prayers for strength for Sam and the rest of the family.

richard and his mother are angels now, according to God's will. there are so many in earthly life that miss them dearly, and have many questions as to why they are no longer with us here. may all their family and friends feel and live their Heavenly presence. may the comfort of knowing we will all be together one day--in God's time-- bring peace and Love. both shared remarkably fabulous times with those who were blessed to know them. we will abide with wonderful memories in our hearts and minds. their spirits will heal--in time. God be with all their families and friends. thank you for being in my life; i will never forget you.

Today is a celebration of your life; a life that ended way too soon. I will forever remember your boyish smile and charm. Sam, I pray God will give you strength, comfort and peace now and forever. RIP Richard.

Richard always had a wonderful loving way about him and I will miss him and Liz forever.

Richard was the closest thing to a brother I ever had. He gave me advice when I needed it the most, if it weren't for him, I would have never learned many of the things that shaped me into an adult. I love you and it will never be the same without you and your mother.

I have known Richard's dad for many years & am so saddened by his loss! The last time I saw Richard he was 8 years old! My heart goes out to his dad & all of his family & friends!

My fondest memory of my dear cousin Richard Downey was when he was eleven years old throwing the baseball with me in Chattanooga . He was full of spunk. He was the expression of his father and grandfather. He had the X factor.....hot, sexy, boldness, courage, determination, motivation, enthusiasm,and confident.
At the young age he had as much natural talent than anyone I had been with.
