Samuel Grimes Obituary
2025, surrounded by family. Sam was born in Falfurrias, Texas on January 4,
1965, to Joe and Noemi Grimes. He graduated from Falfurrias High School in
1983 and enlisted in the US Army where he served from 1983 to 1988. Sam
spent his time after this working mostly in construction.
Sam is preceded in death by his father, Joe Grimes, his sister Veronica
Grimes, his stepfather L.D. Pearson, his sister-in-law Sylvia Grimes (Rick),
and his beloved aunt Humbelina Tamez. He is survived by his daughters
Samantha Grimes from Benton, AK, and Amanda Grimes from Austin, TX; his
son Sammy Grimes from Queen Creek, Arizona; one granddaughter Aubrey
Grimes (Amanda); his mother Noemi Pearson from Corpus Christi, TX; his
brothers Joe (Linda) Grimes from Mission, TX, John (Bridgette) Grimes from
Conroe, TX, Rick Grimes from Deer Park, TX; sister Raelene (Ray) Proctor
from George West, TX, and stepsister Kristen (Dan) McMannus from Spring,
TX; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Public visitation will begin at 9:15am Tuesday January 14, 2025, at Sacred
Heart Catholic Church, a Rosary will begin at 10:00am, followed by an
11:00am funeral service. The burial will take place at the Sacred Heart
Cemetery in Falfurrias, Texas with full Military Honors. Pallbearers: Jay Cantu,
Ben Cantu, Omar Morales, Joe Martinez, Oscar Morales, and Charlie Garza

I met Sam when were kids.. As his Dad Joe married my Aunt Janie. So we were all family. He was always very competitive and full of energy. We always played and just enjoyed his company. Rest in peace cuz with your new troops. And as you would always say, " See ya on the other side."
