Cathy - Carolyn and I were very sorry to hear about Sam's passing. Sam was a friend of the Forest Service and a caring person who was always willing to cooperate on projects that benefitted his students. In my 32 years with the Forest Service Sam stands out as one of the best partners I have ever had the pleaasure of working with. Carolyn and I consider ourselves lucky to have known Sam as a friend and a conservationist.

So sorry to hear about the passing of your husband, Cathy! I send my condolences to you and your girls as well as the rest of his extended family! My prayer is for your comfort!

I was truly saddened to hear about Mr. Hambrick's passing. He was my elementary school principal and one of my dad's favorite fishing buddies. My family's thoughts and prayers are with you and please know that we feel lucky to have had Sam as a family friend.

We are so, so sorry. Jonathan and Susan and I have many happy memories of hikes, picnics, fun on the big porch,and yard sales with the Hambricks and especially Zach, Matt, and Anh. We send our condolences and wish comfort to all the family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in this your time of sorrow.

Dear Cathy, I haven't seen you in years, and I just found out about this tragedy. I am so, so very sorry. Sam was such a good person, and I will always remember him. He took me fishing with Zach and Matt when I was a child. He always took the time to speak to me, and he let me come and go as I pleased. I am so very sorry for your loss.

Sam was a kind, friendly neighbor and I was glad to know him.

Dear Cathy, Ann, Paige, Chaney, Matthew, David, and all other family members,
