Sam, I will miss being with you. You were the absolute most admirable person I know. You never complained about anything. You were so thoughtful with your cards and telephone calls. I was so honored to be your niece. As a kid you would take Sarah and I for ice cream and to the mall for lunch. We would go to the book store and candy shops!! My heart hurts to have you not here with me. I'm so glad you came to visit me last summer. Give my love to Sarah and my daddy. Forever in my heart. I love you always. Angela, Salt and girls

Dear Ralph and family,
I feel as I've lost a member of my family, that's how much Sam and his kind soul meant to me.
It was a hard time when my dad had to enter Pleasant Ridge, but I believe my dad couldn't of had a better roommate than Sam, for the length of time that my dad lived there.
I saw my dad everyday and so I saw Sam everyday.
Even though my dad's dementia didn't allow him to fully know Sam, I so enjoyed getting to know him and we becoming friends.
I will really, really miss our visits....our talks about music, television shows, the Green Bay Packers, baseball, sitting outside at the gazebo enjoying the sunshine, our families and most importantly our talks about God and church.
I also enjoyed our talks with you Ralph when we were both there visiting.
Sam was smart, funny and had such a love for his family.
I have an ache in my heart right now that I'm sure will lessen over time, but I do know that I will never forget my friend Sam.
He was special to so many people.
God bless you and your family as you walk through this season.
Fondly,
Patty Bonnell.
