Samuel Kropp Obituary
Samuel Kane was a self made man, ending his work career as Vice President of Operations at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA. He served in the Army Reserves in the mid 80's.
Samuel Kane lived his life knowing that all we truly have is love for one another. He was the type to buy a new toy and toss you the keys and say "you have to try this out, push it to it's limits".
His brother, Joseph Kropp, requests that a donation to a charity of your choice be considered in lieu of flowers.
The Celebration of Life will be held at Staples Center, August 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. located at 1111 South Figueroa Street, Los Angeles, CA 90015. Come share memories. Beach attire is suggested. Complimentary parking will be available in Lot 1. Enter Staples Center at Star Plaza VIP which is located near the corner of 11th Street/Chick Hearn Court (same street) and Figueroa Street next to the Team LA Store. Please RSVP via email by August 17th to [email protected].
We were all blessed by Samuel Kane's selflessness during his time on earth. You will be missed.

Sam lit up the room with his humor and friendly personality. Whether it was a Harley ride, Kings game, or the Grammys, if Sam was there, it was sure to be a great time. A wonderful man who is already missed.

I only got to meet Sam on a couple of occasions but feel I knew him well through my sister, Barbara Kozakiewicz and her boyfriend, Charles Robinson. They always spoke so fondly of him and I know they are both heart broken since his passing. Condolences to his family. May he Rest In Peace now.

Sam, you were a true friend to me and my entire family. Your generosity and kindness will be greatly missed. Joe: your are one in a million who can say their brother was a big brother AND your best friend. That alone is a gift not many experience. I had the good fortune of meeting Sam during a Kings pre-season game at the Staples Center. He gave me a great tour of the facility and then handed me a hockey puck specially made for the 2014 Stanley Cup Finals. May the Good Lord bless and keep you Sam. Although I never met Kane he sounds like a very wonderful caring and loving man. Anyone who knew him personally was truly blessed. Prayers going out to you that God will bring about the peace you all need at this sad time. I wish I would have met him.

Sam, you gave me a shot to do something new and have experiences that a most people can only dream of. My dear Sam,
One day I heard someone say that true friends are the family you choose. All I have to say is that I thank my lucky stars to have put me in your path of life and allowed me the gift of your beautiful friendship but most of all, your unconditional love.
Throughout the years of working together, I got to learn so much from you, how much you loved your job and the true definition of dedication, but the best part about getting to know you better was when I got to know the beautiful soul inside, the generous, caring, funny, loving man you were.
You did for me and my family more than we could ever do for you, and we will forever be grateful. Thank you for accepting the important role of being my son's godfather. Thank you for being who you were.
I will miss you so much, I will miss your contagious laugh and our lunches together, but please know that you'll always live in my heart and I'll think of you everyday and I know I will see you again some day.

I cannot believe it is time to say good bye to a friend as good as you! We always stood on CVT and solved the worlds problems however never touched on this... I am at a loss, however am so grateful for the friendship we had. You were always a backbone to all that fell apon us..your non-judgemental way was remarkable, your loyalty...truthful and your spirit real! I thank you for your unconditional support.
