On Wednesday, March 16, 2016, age 80, of Ohio Township. Sam was a loving husband and father for 50 years to his wife, the late Donetta (Wahl) Landis; his children, Dawn Rhodes and Samuel (Kristina) Landis II; and his grandchildren, Tammi (Dan) Baur, Laura, Madeline, Samuel and Grace. Sam was a longtime member of Highland Country Club, an avid golfer and fisherman. No viewing. Friends invited to a Celebration of Sam's Life at Diamond Run Golf Club, 132 Laurel Oak Dr., Sewickley, PA 15143 on Sunday from 2:00 -4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, family suggests donations to Light of Life Rescue Mission, 915 Western Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15233. Arrangements entrusted unto the care of SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., West View, PA. Please express condolences at www.schellhaasfh.com.

What a fitting place to celebrate Sam's life. Visiting with Sam was always entertaining and educational. Our boys enjoyed cousin time at Sam and Donetta's home. Sam always had a suggestion for a good read or a fine wine. We have a golf picture of Sam and Dennis hanging in the house. We are fortunate to have known such a fine man.

I am so sorry to hear Uncle Sam has past. I was so happy to see him at Mom's viewing in January. It is so hard to believe all my Aunts and Uncles are leaving us. I wanted to share one moment when my Dad and Uncle Sam were fighting playing volleyball at your home in Beaver Falls it was so funny but I loved it. I will tell you this our parents battled but they love each other. I miss everything from the Wahl family. God Bless I know how it hurts!! Wish I could make it Sunday I leaving for Florida Saturday!
