We're sorry to hear of the loss of Uncle Mac. Wish we could have been there to offer our condolences in person. Although we only had brief visits with him through through the years, we remember Uncle Mac fondly. His was certainly a life well lived and we know that the fond memories will remain after the grief has passed.

My condolences to the family. Colonel McGowan was my friend. We shared many moments and stories of the families that were originally from Kenansville, NC. His accomplishments leave a legacy that is worthy of note. I hope that the family will find comfort and peace in knowing that he touched the lives of many.
