Samuel L. Mumma

Samuel L. Mumma, 78, of Mechanicsburg, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Carlisle Regional Medical Center. He was the loving husband of Bonnie K. (Rhoades) Mumma for over 51 years.
Sam was born in Rockville, PA on June 28, 1934, the son of the late Samuel L. and Martha M. (Fenton) Mumma.
Sam retired in 2001 as a purchasing agent for Consumers Financial Group. He was a member of the former Second United Church of Christ, Harrisburg. Sam was an avid golfer and a "Big" Boston Red Sox Fan. He also enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers play.
Surviving are his wife, his daughters, Lisa C. and husband Jeff Parvin and Melody A. and husband Karl Aikey, all of Mechanicsburg, Seven Grandchildren, Christopher, Michael, Tim, Becca, Matt, Samantha and Sara; two sisters, Audrey N. Berger, of Harrisburg and Patricia M. Stuppy, of Hardy, VA; four brothers, James M., of Susquehanna Twp, Jack A., of Dauphin, Ronald D., of Penbrook and Richard L. Mumma, of Mechanicsburg, numerous nieces & nephews and his cat, Puddin.
Services will be held at 11:00am, Monday, January 21st, in the Neumyer Funeral Home, Inc., 1334 N. 2nd Street, Harrisburg, with the Pastor Neil Olcott officiating. Viewing will be held from 10am to 11am, Monday, in the funeral home.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg, Pa.
