John and Family,
It is my honor to know and also to say that your father was one of my greatest mentors in the Springbank and Cooper Hall districts west of Calgary. Sam was one to speak his mind and "tell it like it is" and he was always a pleasure to work for and be with,.. out on the land. I was fortunate to have had many days on the Parr farm with Sam, Gladys and John. He will be missed and more importantly remembered. Our thoughts are with you and we celebrate his life along with your family.
