In memory of
Jim Hutcheson
January 25, 2023
Capt. Sam and I served with Maj. Moore and others on the MTT to the Dominican Republic. His wife and son Norman were there as well. I enjoyed the association with him in Panama and wish his family my very best wishes for his meaningful life!

Sam was the consummate professional in all aspects of his life. I remember him for his unbounded love of all things in his family and his want for adventure. His memory will not only be celebrated and cherished, but will live on through the abundance of his family. My condolences to the family. May peace be with you all.

Always difficult to fully express condolences after such a loss. To Edie and the family I can only say that I am so very sorry for your loss. Sam was one of a kind. I truly enjoyed our fishing adventures over the years. Nobody was as much fun as Sam was in the whole experience. My slowing down due to age was one of my major regrets that I had to quit the adventure. I enjoyed every minute with him and remain amazed at the range of activities in which he was still involved. A Patriot, a Warrior, a family man and a true friend. Sam was the best. Safe travels and blue skies on your next great adventure, pal.

Sam was a great father-in-law to me and a wonderful grandfather to my children. He was a "man's man," a military leader with a distinguished career. When I first met Sam, he was certainly an intimidating prospective father-in-law. Over the years, I realized that Sam's best and most defining qualities were actually a profound dedication to serving others and a deep love for his family. Sam will live on as a role model to me.

I loved my Papa. Memories I have with Papa are boating and sitting on his lap driving the boat. Papa taught me how to fish and I caught my first fish with him right next to me. He was always there for me and I will miss him so much. I love you Papa. Love, Lucy, granddaughter

I love my Papa so much. A memory I share with Papa is going on his boat and sitting in his lap while he was driving. I caught my first fish with Papa right by my side. He is so kind and trustworthy to everyone. I love him so much.
