It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of, Samuel George Valdivia, Pepsi man. He passed away at his home on March 23, 2019 surrounded by his loved ones. He was born October 30, 1968, and was the graduating class of 1987 of Beaumont High School. He was a Veteran of the U.S Navy, service in the Navy were some of his proudest moments. He fought in Desert Storm, his ship was the U.S.S BARBEY he also received numerous Awards. He was known as a Character, he was a man of little words, but he always took action. He was a Knights of Columbus, and worked over 16 years at the Beaumont/ Cherry Valley parks and recreation as the Veteran grounds keeper. He loved reading, but comics were his favorite. He was a huge fan of star wars, loved walking, loved the arts. Was a Big Los Angeles Dodgers and Washington Redskin fan.
He is survived by his parents Harry & Herlinda Valdivia, his Brothers and Sisters, Nancy, James(Caroline), Maria (Robert LuGrain), Jerome, Sarah (David Palomares), William (Amber). He had 11 nieces and nephews, Christina (Edgar Avila), Michael (Brianna LuGrain), Kayla, Nicholas (Danielle LuGrain), Natalie, Kayla,Valerie LuGrain, Monique Valdivia-Whitted, Michael, Kayla, Alexander and Jalie Valdivia. He had 6 Great nieces & nephews Melanie, Harmony, Logan, Thomas, Matthew & Korra. Numerous Aunts and Uncles Carmen Chavez, Lupe Lozano, Salley Andrade, Grace Granados (Art), Frances Chapparosa, Gerturde, Thomas, David (Debi Valdivia), Robert (Barbara), Aurora Nunez, Yolanda Beltran, Tere Alvarez, Juanita Garcia, Leanor Nunez, Luzelena Nunez, Jesus Nunez, Luz Elena.
The Navy Motto is "Forged by the Sea," but his feet took him to walk miles on land. You will be missed, we love you and "May the force be with you." "Always."
The Rosary will be held at Weavers Mortuary April 4th 4-8pm. The funeral will be held, April 5th at 10:00 am at Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church in Beaumont. Graveside Immediately after at Mt View Cemetery in Beaumont.
