I loved Sam. I loved him for his generosity of time and knowledge and that he loved and respected everyone he knew. And he was so good to my husband. So smart & versatile. I think of him every time we go by his church on Debarr. See you in Heaven. God Bless us All. Nan

I first met Sam when he started with the Alaska Railroad as a Boiler Maker. He could do just about anything with a torch and a welding machine. He helped me with some body work on a couple of cars over the years and we had a lot of fun working together. He taught me a few thing about body work that have helped me a lot. My wife and I went overseas to work in the early ninety's, and we lost track of Sam and his family. We did talk once about a year ago, but that was the last. He was the most positive person that I have ever met. He will be missed by everyone that has ever known him.

I was stationed with Sam at Elmendorf in the late sixties and early seventies. Sam was one of the most positive and caring person that I have had the opportunity to call my friend. Sam will be missed by all who's lives he has touched. I remember Sam telling me he could weld anything except a broken heart and the crack dawn. You are now in good hands brother.

Sam was a great, kind and generous man. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to his friends and community. Our family was blessed to live next the Walker family for 9 years on Peck Ave. and to know Sam and Hattie for over 40 years. My father Thomas died this past March and I know Sam and my father will find one another in Heaven and reminisce about family, friends and fishing.
Our deepest condolences to Hattie and family for your loss,
Jeffrey,Lesa and Janet Allen

What a great guy Sam was!! I worked with Sam at the Alaska Railroad for his time there. I may not have seen sam in a few years but I am surley going to miss him. Always up-beat ... a ray of sunshine all the time. I would ask him "How you doing Sam?" His reply was always "I wouldn't kick if I was on a soccer team." You are always in my heart Sam. Good bye Sam. I love you man. God will bless and be with Sam's family during this time of saddnes.

Aunt Hattie and the rest of the Walker family: I pray that when Uncle Sammy passed he was at peace and surrounded by his family. I am so happy that I was able to spend time with him and the rest of you all during the loss of my father. Uncle Sammy was a great man of God with the best characters a man should possess. May you rest in peace Uncle Sammy along the side of all who went before you including my dad Larry. I will miss your voice, always so upbeat, full of life. May God bless you all during this time. Love always from Zahra
