Samuel W. Watson, Jr. KINGSTON - Samuel W. Watson, Jr., age 64, of East Kingston died Monday, Nov. 22, 2010 at Kingston Hospital, Kingston. Mr. Watson was born June 2, 1946 in New Paltz the son of the late Samuel W. Watson, Sr. and the late Emma (Bevier) Watson. He was a self employed carpenter, and an Army veteran. He is survived by one daughter; Lorie A. Watson of Kingston and one son: Samuel W. Watson, III of Kingston; two sisters: Mary Emma Pottinger of New Paltz, Delois Watson of Kingston and two brothers; Richard "Dick" Watson of Gardiner and Furman Watson of Kingston; granddaughter, Ashley S. Watson of Kingston and grandson, Anre X. Watson of Fayetteville, N.C.; many nieces and nephews; also survived by his former wife, Lauren E. Watson of Kingston; former daughter-in-Law, Ella Scott of N.C. Mr. Watson was predeceased by his sisters, Pearline Dixon, Bernice Watson, Betty Mae Watson, and Julia Stallworth-Watson. Calling hours will be Monday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Copeland Funeral Home, Inc., 162 South Putt Corners Road, New Paltz. The funeral will follow immediately at 12 noon at Copeland Funeral Home, Inc., New Paltz with Rev. Donald Mapes officiating. Cremation will take place in Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, Poughkeepsie on Monday following the services.
