Sandi Puff
July 31, 1948 – December 30, 2013
The family is sad to announce the passing of Sandra (Sandi) Anne Puff. She passed peacefully in her home on December 30, 2013. She is predeceased by her parents John Puff and Katherine (Kiddy) Marlow; husband Peter Hockley; brother Peter Puff and best friend Rosemary Holmes. Sandi is survived by her sons Keith Hockley (Zoey MacIntyre); Greg Brown (Dawn) & Donnie Puff; siblings Don Puff (Bev), John Puff (Pat), Arnold (Janice), Joanne Turchack (Brian) and many nieces and nephews; grandchildren Jesse MacIntyre, Morgan and Shea Hockley, Eric, Nathan and Dilan Brown. Sandi was born July 31, 1948 to Catherine Marlow and John Puff of Essex England. Orphaned at a young age Sandi had a difficult childhood. She had many talents and for a brief time did some secretarial and accounting work. She spent many years in Gull Lake, SK where she was active in the church community. She enjoyed connecting and conversing with the elderly. While her health was never the greatest, she still did what she could for others. She combined her love of reading and her passion for helping others into reading for the elderly, volunteering in libraries, and even teaching others to read. Her passions were spending time with friends and family, finding solace in Gods word, knitting, needle point and collecting recipes to try. Sandi moved to Saskatoon in 2010 due to deteriorating health. She found a whole new community to volunteer with. She enjoyed her time on "coffee row" and helping with bingo. Sandi was a quiet woman who had a hard life. She will be missed by her family and many friends. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice. A Celebration of Sandi's Life will be held at the Saskatoon Funeral Home (338 – 4th Ave. N., Saskatoon, SK.) on Monday, January 13th, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Those wishing to send condolences to the family may do so by our email [email protected]. Arrangements entrusted to Saskatoon Funeral Home (306) 244-5577.
