Sandra Kreeger Berman

To Sandra's family,
I was so saddened to learn of Sandra's passing. You have my deepest sympathies. She was a wonderfully kind and gentle woman, full of generosity of spirit. I met her 48 years ago when we both were new to Louisville. Although I moved away many years ago, she always held a special place in my memories and in my heart. May The Almighty grant you comfort in your time of sorrow.

Harris and Family, I know that words cannot bring Sandra back but I hope thet can help heal the heart. As a new person to Louisville Sandra opened her heart and home to me and i will miss her. The poem was shared with me at a time of loss and i pass it on.

DEATH IS NOTHING

Death is nothing at all. It does not count. I have only slipped away into the next room. Nothing has happened. Everything remains exactly as it was. I am I and you are you, and the old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged.
Whatever we were to each other that we are still. Call me by the old familiar name. Speak of me in the easy way, which you always used. Put no difference in your tone. Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, and pray for me. Let my name be ever the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without an effort without the ghost of a shadow upon it. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was. There is an absolute and unbroken continuity. What is Death but a negligent accident? Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner. All is well.

So sorry to hear about Sandra...I just loved Her! Will always be grateful to Her and Harris when they brought Uncle Alec to Sarasota for David's Bar Mitzvah! What a beautiful woman. With the warmest sympathy to all.

Sandra was a special woman of warmth, intelligence, and style. She reached out to make us part of the extended Berman-Kohn family and loved sharing ideas and articles of mutual interest. We send our love and condolences to Harris, Ilene and Steve, Sheila and Paul, and Dennis and Tiffany. All of you and your progeny brought her great joy.

So sorry for your loss. I will remember her fondly. Whenever I saw her she always had a smile and kind words. My thoughts are with you.

Sandy's kindness was really quite special. Several times she sent me clippings from Louisville newspapers of items we had discussed, and I will always remember her smile and warm spirit. I know she will be missed and my thoughts are with her family, who I hope are comforted by many warm memories.

Sorry to about your loss

Sandra was one of the first people I met when I was in Louisville interviewing for jobs, and one of my very favorite people. Every few months I would receive a call: "Karyn, I met someone who likes FOOD, like you. Give them a call. Maybe they can help you." She was so supportive. I will miss her! Sending warm hugs to one of the most loving families I have ever met.

We are so very very sorry - we will always remember Sandra as a warm, friendly, truly nice and caring person - She left much too early - please cherish her memory

I'm so very sorry about the loss of your mother. She was a gracious lady.

It is with great sadness that we have heard of Sandra's death. Sammy and I are out of town but our heartfelt condolences to the entire family. May you find strength in each other and the wonderful memories that you have.

Sandra was such a sweet woman and was so nice every time she called the AJ office. We even had someone in the office take a picture of each of us to send to her because she wanted to know who she was talking to every time she called. She will be greatly miss by all of us at AJ.

One of the warmest most endearing women I have ever met - always a treat when I had the chance to interact with her. May you and your family find all the love and support you need to handle her absence.

You have my deepest and sincerest condolences. Ms. Berman was one of the nicest people I knew. May it comfort you to know that her memory will be for a blessing.
