Life Journey for Sandra K Forrester: 1944-2023

Sandy Forrester, born in Indianapolis IN, recently from West Chester PA and a longtime resident in the Berwyn, Paoli and Broomall Pennsylvania area, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Sunday, September 17 at Paoli Memorial Hospital. Sandy was 79 years old. Sandy is the beloved sister of Jim Forrester and sister-in-law, Amy Forrester, of Salem, VA. She is the aunt to James Robert Forrester of Charleston, SC, and Anne Forrester of Richmond, VA. Sandy is preceded in death by her parents, James Louis Forrester and Normajeane Forrester of Berwyn, PA.

Sandy's father Jim was employed in the railroad industry and the family moved many times. Sandy has lived in Baltimore MD, Williamsburg VA, West Brady PA, Indianapolis, Fort Eustis Texas, Fort Wayne IN , Toledo OH, Elizabeth NJ to name a few. In 1959 the family moved to Paoli PA which became the center of Sandy's permanent homebase.

Sandy is a graduate of Conestoga High School and Drexel University and pursued graduate studies at Immaculata University. Sandy was employed as dietitian and food service supervisor and manager at several companies and institutions in Southeast Pennsylvania including: Stouffers, Hahneman Hospital in Philadelphia, Interboro School District, Rosemont Presbyterian Village, and Broomall Presbyterian Village.

Sandy was a longtime member of Paoli Presbyterian Church. She loved attending book club with her mom and friends. Sandy was blessed to have many remarkable and supportive neighbors and friends who filled her life with love, laughter, hope, and support. She was always ready to share a glass of wine and wonderful food with anyone who neared her circle of influence. She loved her friends, neighbors, family, rabbits, Cape May and, plants.

A service to celebrate her life will be held on Sunday, October 22 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel at Paoli Presbyterian Church at 225 South Valley Road, Paoli, PA 19301.
