Sandra Marie Kosinski

Sandra Marie Kosinski, formerly Martin, 55, of Reno, Nevada, passed away on August 14, 2022 after a fearless battle with Breast Cancer.

Sandra was born on May 22, 1967 to Aldeo and Therese Martin in Madawaska, Maine. After graduating from high school in 1986, she moved to Connecticut, where she would eventually meet her future husband James.

After moving to Reno, Nevada in 1991, Sandra married James Kosinski on February 11, 1995, going on to have their only child, Vanessa. Being a mother was one of the most important parts of Sandra's life, a role that gave her much pride and joy. She was an excellent mom and wife - supportive and kind, and we will all miss her dearly. Sandra's kindness extended beyond her family and friends through her career at the VA Hospital - where she worked for over 20 years.

Sandra loved making crafts with her girlfriends and when she wasn't filling the home with warmth and her favorite candles, she could be found in her kitchen practicing a new recipe or making her husband's favorite peanut butter cookies. Sandra loved traveling, whether it was spending the day shopping in Sacramento, a weekend trip to San Francisco, or a European adventure, we are going to miss sharing those moments with her.

Sandra was predeceased by her mother, Therese Martin. She is survived by her father, Aldeo Martin, brothers Mario (Christine) Martin and Keith (Lori) Martin, her loving nieces and nephews, sister-in-law Suzanne Kosinski, husband and daughter James and Vanessa Kosinski, and the family dog, Tucker (who adored her).
