Sandra Kuhfuss Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 16, 2025.
Knoxville - Sandra (Sandy) Lee Kuhfuss, 72, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 14th, 2025, at UT Medical Hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee after spending a few weeks fighting a brief illness.

Sandy spent her time traveling around the country with her husband, Don, spending time with her daughters & grandchildren, enjoying the amazing casinos of Biloxi, and delighting in her weekly Monday-night dinners at Copper Cellar.

She is survived by her loving husband, Don Kuhfuss; daughters, Cindy Elder & husband Scott, Christy Jones & husband Mike; grandchildren, Sarah (Seth), Davis (Amanda), Michael (Grayson), Carson, Leini, Ross, & William; Two great-grandsons, Noah and Bennett; Brother, Ronnie; Cousin, Sharon "Cuz"; special friends, Lem and Diane.

Sandy's life is one to be celebrated and we are immensely grateful for the memories she has left us with. We know that she is happily reunited with her best friend, Pat (Queenie) Thomas, her favorite dog Pepper, and her beloved parents, Robert and Carrie Greene. Her legacy is one that we will carry with us everyday and always remember her when we take a sip of a cold Coca-Cola, enjoy a Copper Cellar dinner, or indulge in a Shoney's Hot Fudge Cake.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 23rd, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at 7904 Chesterfield Drive in Knoxville, Tennessee. A private graveside ceremony with her family will be held at the East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.

Few will stand out in my heart like Sandy. She was straight up, feisty, and a great soul. She was funny and sassy just like God and life made her. She was loyal and she loved deeply. I will miss you dearly. Peace be with you Brad Whitehead
