My mother Rennie Farmer worked for Sandra for many years. My father had passed away and my mother needed a job having no experience. Sandra gave her the opportunity which turned into a loving friendship for years to come. Hearing of the loss of Sandra was so sad remembering all the times as a little girl I would go meet mom at the shop and Sandra would always welcome me with open arms. Thank you dear friend.

The bus -stop at Broadway and Macdonald directly in front of Sandra's of Vancouver clothing apparel was the hi-lite of every bus driver's run....knowing everyone entered the bus with a full smile having shopped at Sandra's..!
Sandra Macdonald was truly one of a kind... in every wonderful way.

Sandra Macdonald brought so much personalty in everything she put her mind to. A delightful lady with inexhaustible energy. I was fortunate to share in her business prowess and impeccable taste for many years. To the family... my heartfelt condolences. Sandra Macdonald will be missed and lovingly remembered.

My Mother Pam Torrance said that Sandra was the housewife's Angel who would let you take home a dress and pay her back $1 or $2 a week when you had the money -total honour system- (never heard of -type of a layaway system but you had the product before paying in full and before credit cards) The bus stop at Broadway and MacDonald was the place to windowshop as her display was always beautiful
so sorry for the family's loss - a wonderful lady

Sincere sympathies to Sandra's six Great Grandchildren, and to daughters Geri (Mel) and Devorah, her sons Michael, Darryl and Hamish; grandchildren Lisa, Ryan, Gabriel, Taylor, Marlon, Dylan, Aviva, Shante, Michelle, Hiro, Hanna and Alicia.

Sandra's shop was a unique Vancouver Shopping Experience for me, and many of my family members. The pieces she chose to display served so many needs, for work, school, and at play. Was sad to see it close, and now to know her specific visual knowledge and merchandising are in the past. In my mind, though, "Sandra Pieces" are vivid. Her contribution to our community was widespread, & it's results cannot be counted.
Take heart. Peace to you.
