WILKES-BARRE — Sandra M. Maloney, 62, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Friday, Feb. 10, 2023, at her home, surrounded by family.
Born August 15, 1960, in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Helen Dziedzic Conti.
Sandra was a 1978 graduate of G.A.R. High School, Wilkes-Barre, and was employed in the area catering industry.
Sandy was a kind, loving, and caring person; always seeking to lend a helping hand. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and bringing joy and laughter to those around her. She also loved her Bingo and shopping.
Sandy was a dedicated wife, mother, sister, Nunna, and friend. She had the spunkiest spirit, the most contagious laugh, the sweetest smile, and was a modern day super woman.
She is survived by her husband, David Maloney, Sr.; son, David Maloney, Jr. and his wife, Jennifer; daughter, Jennifer Lynn Maloney; grandchildren: Alexis, Evan, Giavonna, Alyssa, Aubree, Emma, and Lainey; brother, Thomas Conti and his wife, Sue; several nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends.
She was dearly loved and will be missed greatly by her loved ones.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. from the Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, 21 North Meade St., Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Hope Parish, 40 Park Ave., Wilkes-Barre. The Rev. John S. Terry, pastor, will be celebrant. Friends may call Monday evening, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
Sandy's family would like to thank the radiology team at Commonwealth Hospital; especially Lauren; the Oncology Associates of Kingston; and the Hospice of the Sacred Heart, for their care.

Sending all my love and biggest hugs. I am so sad for this immense loss in your lives and all the people whose lives she touched in a way that many people will never be able to do.
