On Thursday, September 12, 2019, Sister Sandra (Dingle) McKnight journeyed to her everlasting home at Moncks Corner Medical Center, Moncks Corner, SC. Sandra, lovingly known as “Pinky”, was born on March 10, 1963 in St. Stephen, SC. She was the daughter of the late Louise McKnight and was reared in the home of the late Deacon Ned Winns and Mother Louise Winns.
“Pinky” received her education in the public schools of Berkeley County and was a 1981 graduate of St. Stephen High School. She was employed as a caregiver providing home health care to others.
“Pinky” was a member of St. Stephen Baptist Church where she sang on the Mack Choir. She served faithfully until her death.
“Pinky” had an illuminating personality. She would light up any room she entered with her storytelling and conversations. She enjoyed laughing and making others laugh. She loved sharing her talent of singing with everyone. “Pinky” touched many lives and will be greatly missed.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her three daughters, Latoia Tenille (Ronnie T.) Martin of Spartanburg, SC, Javon Louise (Kevin Williams) Dingle and Shayla Eurika Jefferson both of Moncks Corner, SC; two grandchildren, Khalil Mack ad Heiress Jackson; one great-granddaughter, Khaliyah Mack; siblings, Earnestine McKnight, Rhunette Dennis, Jessie Mae Winns, Jonathan Winns all of St. Stephen, SC and Carla (Patrick) Jenkins of Pineville, SC; one aunt, Mary Nelson of Bonneau, SC; loving friend, Otto Steele; former spouse, Joseph Dingle; extended families, the Higgins and Tuckers of Spartanburg, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, September 16, 2019, 1:00 p.m., at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, 272 Church Road, St. Stephen, SC. Burial will be in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Viewing will be Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Gethers St. Stephen Funeral Chapel.

To The McKnight And Winns Family:
Sometimes there just aren't any answers, but God see each tear, feel every hurt, understands our need to ask "why," and, because of His love for us, we can trust that in time His comfort and peace will come. Pinkly will surely be missing.

My Dear Friend! We spent our youth together. I'm saddened to see you go, and yet so happy that you've found your peace. We celebrate your life, and cry tears of both grief and joy for you. You get to see our saviors face and in that, you are blessed. I will miss your presence here on this earthly plane and look forward to seeing you again in that heavenly place.
