Vernon and Wendy and extended family--please accept our sympathetic sorrow for your loss. Although we did not get to visit with you two often enough, please know that Sandra's entire high school class, including David and I, will remember her as a beautiful person and a dear friend. I know you will miss her terribly, and we will think of you often. May God bless and keep you strong.

I brought Sandra into Vernon's life in 1954 at age 12. Vernon was my best friend and neighbor, but when I finally got up the nerve to call her, he suddenly began to take interest and once he began talking with her, it was game over for me. I did try once again for her in high school when I thought they had broken up and she agreed to go out with me, but Vernon was having none of that.
She was a natural beauty with charm, and life's trials did not separate them ever for long. I was actually on my way to the graveside service on Saturday, but I-10 at Loop 610 was narrowed to 2 lanes and I was stuck there for 45 minutes.
May God's grace be with her memory and may Vernon's inner strength triumph.....Richard Bain 1960 [email protected]
